About this activity
First stop is Our Lady of the Rocks, before you head through the Verige Straits and along the Herceg Novi Rivera.
This church was raised in 1630 on an artificial island, which was built by fishermen from Perast. According to a legend these fishermen after the shipwreck found on a sea rock an icon of Holy Mother of God with Christ and vowed that right on that spot where the icon was found they will build a church, which will be dedicated to this icon of the Holy Mother of God, protector of sailors and fishermen
Then it's out of the bay, past Mamula Island, the WWII prison island, and along Lustica Peninsula to the Blue Cave, where you have a 30 minute stop to swim in the cave.
It’s called the Blue Cave because the way the light hits the sandy bottom and reflects up through the water makes the whole cave look blue.
To get familiar with a part of rich Boka Bay history we enter into ex submarine military base for 5 minutes.
