Over at the hot food counters, indulge in freshly made stir-fried crab with chili paste, patin asam tempoyak, mussel with kam heong sauce and many others dishes. A modest selection of local fares like Ayam Goreng Berchili and Ikan Asam Pedas are also available for those who need something more familiar. Had a wonderful experience at the top. the arrangement was very good, had no problem to reach there, infact had to wait for very less time.
We signed up for an 8pm dinner. Our “guide” picked us up at 8pm because as it turns out our seating time was actually 9pm. As he gives us our tickets for the dinner, he also says that the table we paid for is not next to the windows for the view, but on the inside row and if we wanted to be by the window it’s an extra $50US. So now I’m starting to feel like I’m being shook down and don’t pay an additional money. I wanted to just say forget it but we would of not gotten a refund.Our “guide” says go to the observation deck and look around etc until your seating at 9pm. So now we are stuck in the observation area for 45min. The view was fantastic, but for 45min was ridiculous. We go in at 9pm, they try and shake us down for the window table and the $50 again, so no thanks. You really get a good view from all the tables. In the end, you pay way too much for just a dinner with a view and just water and coffee. I would suggest getting a cab and booking it on your own!
