Pass By: Travel Yamu Experience at Malaysia, Jalan1/152,Taman oug parklane, Block B3-1-27,No1,, Kuala Lumpur 58200 Malaysia
Our friendly English speaking driver will pick you up at 2.00PM at your hotel lobby located within Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
Stop At: Gombak, Batu Caves 68100 Malaysia
The tour begins with visiting Batu Caves. Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu, which flows past the hill. It is the tenth limestone hill from Ampang. Batu Caves is also the name of a nearby village.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Sri Shakti Temple, Bukit Rotan, Kuala Selangor 45700 Malaysia
The tour continues with a drive to Kuala Selangor. We will then visit Sri Shakti Temple. Sri Shakti Temple is the only temple in the world where manifestations of all 51 Shaktis are installed. Consciously interspersed within this space are 96 carved pillars that depict the 96 universal principles of Hinduism. The temple’s main entrance comprises 18-foot high sculptured granite frames weighing up to 4 tonnes, carved by skilled craftsmen from the ancient city of Mahabalipuram in Tamilnadu, India.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor Malaysia
Bukit Melawati is well known for their silvered leaf monkeys. The silvered leaf monkeys live in harmony with longtail macaques. Do take note that the macaques can be rather fierce, unlike the silvered leaf monkeys. Feeding is allowed and there are even vendors around who sell fruits and vegetables to visitors who wish to do so. By the way, while cars are allowed up the hill on weekdays, only trams are used to ferry visitors on weekends, due to insufficient parking bays. Two trams are available, with each capable of accommodating 44 to 50 pax.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Altingsburg Lighthouse, Jalan Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor 45000 Malaysia
Atop the hill sits the Kuala Selangor Lighthouse, also known as Altingsburg Lighthouse. Built in 1907, this lighthouse is so well maintained that it is still in use today, to guide ships that sail along the Straits of Malacca. Hence, the lighthouse is lighted up from 7pm to 6am daily. We were allowed to climb up the lighthouse but only to the first level. I was informed that on “Open Day”, visitors are permitted to ascend the lighthouse to the top.
Moving on, we will proceed to Local Seafood Restaurant for a dinner. The place got wonderful ambience to eat fresh seafood facing the Selangor River. The wooden floors are also smooth and neat. It is also a nice seafood restaurant with reasonable price for everyone.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Kuala Selangor Firefly Park, Jalan Haji Omar, Kuala Selangor 45000 Malaysia
Then continue to Pasir Penambang, which is a launch point on the Selangor River. We will travel along the river in a quiet, eco-friendly rowboat so you don’t disturb the fireflies, or kelip-kelip, and watch them glow in the evening air. Discover the fireflies’ mysterious synchronicity: though each firefly flashes at its own rhythm, the lights slowly align until thousands of bugs light up in unison, and coastal Malaysia is considered the best place in the world to see the phenomenon.
