1 day
Private
About this activity
In the morning, meet a professional local guide at the cruise terminal for a full day tour of Pulau Ketam, otherwise known as “Crab Island.”
A small island located off the coast of Port Klang, it was founded in 1880, and is now easily accessible by ferry. Enjoy the scenic ferry ride from Port Klang, with great views of the busy harbor and nearby islands. Pulau Ketam is known for its traditional fishing community, as well as unique houses built on stilts.
Spot different kinds of fiddler crabs, mud crabs, and mudskippers scuttling on the shores of the island’s mangroves before taking a stroll through the fishing village. Pause for a delicious fresh seafood lunch before catching the ferry back to Port Klang.
After disembarking, make your way to the majestic Palace of the Sultan of Selangor. Wander through the Sultan Salahuddin Mosque, Malaysia’s largest mosque and the second largest in Southeast Asia. Take in its vast blue and silver dome and towering minarets, then make the final stop of the day at Thean Hou Temple, one of the largest Chinese temples in Southeast Asia.
This full-day shore excursion concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.
