Arenal Volcano Hike & Tabacon + Lunch

The Arenal Volcano tour starts with a drive to the western side of the volcano, which is the one that has been mostly affected by the initial activity since 1968. Once there, you will embark on a very informative hike on the Park trail´s. We can choose one of the trails depending on the client´s preference. We have Las Coladas trail which traverses the rainforest and crosses over a large lava flow from 1992 where we can observe all the impact of the past eruptions, or Los Tucanes trail which goes mostly thru the recovered forest of the past activity and where we can see more wildlife. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations. Once on the top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of the Arenal Lake. The hike ends up at a view point, where if the weather allows you will see the volcano very close and feel like it is possible to reach with your hands. You will be able to feel some rocks rolling down, some seismic activity and some smoke from the main crater. During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park. The tour concludes with a relaxing stop at the mineral hot spring.
