Venado Caves, La Guaria and Monterrey Towers Tour

This all day adventure starts out at our office and takes you on an excursion thru La Guaria, Rio Arenal, Monterrey Towers, and to the Venado Caves. Your 2.5-3 hour trip to the caves starts at our office and travels thru the beautiful Costa Rican backroads passing thru the pueblo of La Guaria until you pass Rio Arenal. At this point the rock road becomes smaller as you begin the ascent on the winding switchbacks of the mountains until you reach the Monterrey Towers (telecommunications towers in the area). This area is the 2nd highest point in the area at 3550' or 1082 meters. Here you can view the Arenal Volcano and into Nicaragua if the weather permits, and sweeping panoramic views of the valleys below. From here you will continue on riding across the tops of the mountains there the roads become trails. You are going to see some of the most peaceful landscapes and vistas imaginable including the majestic Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. You will travel thru jungles and wooded areas where you may be lucky to see sloths, howler monkeys, birds and other animals, until you reach the Venado Caves.
