Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary Tour

If your desire is to view some of the most beautiful birds in the tropics, the Crooked Tree wildlife Sanctuary is the perfect location in Belize. This amazing wetland ecosystem is actually the largest of its kind in northern Belize and is just 30 miles north of the Belize City. Mother Nature designed this huge lagoon just for birds. It's home to most of the 574 species of birds found in the country, including the largest flying creature in the Americas, the Jabiru Stork. You will also find different species of egrets and herons and even the magnificent Jacana, just to name a few. But birds aren’t the only animals that will be there for viewing, there is also a high possibility of seeing Morelet's crocodile, iguanas and even howler monkeys.
