About this activity
Fuerteventura, the European Caribbean! Once the pickup has been completed, the boat awaits us in Playa Blanca, a small town located in the south of Lanzarote and a connection to Fuerteventura. After a short journey of about 30 minutes, we disembark in the town of Corralejo, Fuerteventura. Corralejo is one of the main tourist centres of the island of Fuerteventura and has extensive beaches of fine sand where you can enjoy the wonderful weather of this island. It is impressive, more than 2,600 hectares of the Natural Park of Corralejo.
The beaches of Corralejo have become an attractive spot for water sports such as surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and stand up paddle among many other water activities that you can enjoy during this day in Fuerteventura. The beaches of Fuerteventura host the "Canarias Surf Film Festival", a cultural and sporting event linked to this sport.
Corralejo is in the north of the island of Fuerteventura from which coast you can see "Isla de Lobos" and "Lanzarote". These dunes constitute an important place for the breeding of steppes species and declared as of great importance for the development and inhabits of many birds by the BirdLife International.
Along with the tourist and real estate activity, fishing is the most characteristic activity of Corralejo, being historically a seafaring village. It has got a brotherhood and a fishermen's market. Corralejo is the self-sufficient port with the highest traffic of passengers on the Canary Islands and allows exchanges between the islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
The "dunes of Corralejo" and its endless beaches are one of the main attractions of the island of Fuerteventura, white sandy beaches and the largest dunes of the Canary Archipelago. This is a must have and promotional postcard of Fuerteventura.
Once in the port of Corralejo, we take the catamaran ferry back to Lanzarote.
