Stop At: McCarran International Airport, 5757 Wayne Newton Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119, USA
This amazing day starts with a stop and viewing of the top secret Janet Airlines, the airline that doesn’t exist! Based at Las Vegas International Airport, this fleet of unmarked jets has been hiding in plain sight for decades. It transports hundreds of workers daily to and from the infamous and supposedly closed and abandoned "Area 51."
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Extraterrestrial Highway, Nevada 375, Rachel, NV
The route to Area 51 is through some of the most desolate, uninhabited and incredibly scenic desert in the world. After an amazing journey through a stunning Joshua Tree Forest you will arrive on the edge of an ancient dry lake you can see very unusual 6' tall Indian Petroglyphs that resemble Aliens. As seen on the hit TV show Ancient Aliens, these are some of the most unusual petroglyphs in the world. You will then explore this mysterious dry lake where UFO sightings often occur.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Little A'Le'Inn, 9631 Old Mill Rd, Alamo, NV 89001, USA
After another beautiful drive along the "Extraterrestrial Highway" you'll arrive at the famous Little A'le' Inn. This location has been host to numerous documentaries and movies including "Independence Day". Here you will find a wealth of information and souvenirs on this top-secret area. Captain Chuck Clark, an ex-air force captain, has written an amazingly interesting and in depth report on Area 51, which is also available for purchase.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Stop At: The Black Mailbox, Nevada State Route 375, Alamo, NV
After a very tasty Alien Burger at the Little A'le' Inn you journey to the infamous Black Mailbox location, (the mailbox was recently abducted), a sacred meeting place for UFO enthusiasts.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Area 51, Rachel, NV 89001
Moving on, you'll arrive at the absolute perimeter of Area 51 through a strange and mutant Joshua Tree forest where the guards (The Men In Black) with their high powered weapons, forever stand watch along with detection devices, listening devices and cameras mounted among the cactus. The signs read, "Top Secret Military Facility, Keep Out, Use of Deadly Force Authorized" and you can be sure they mean it. You can wave at the heavily armed guards in the 4x4 parked on the desert hillside but they never wave back! They just wait and watch from behind their darkened windows.
As much as the United States government denied the existence of this base for decades, it's now known it is there but no one knows what they do there. This is an Extreme Tour to the world's most top secret military facility, the real home of the X files, Area 51.

What an amazing day.Dennis our guide looked after us.His knowledge and humour was second to none and made this day so memorable.Thank you
We had a great day on this tour. Everything was exactly as outlined in the itinerary. Our quide was funny and knowledgeable. He made sure everyone had enough water to drink and even provided sun cream. It was a very long day but it was so good to see a differant side to Nevada and spend a day out of Las Vegas. I don't usually like burgers but the alien burger at the Little A'Le'Inn was really good. Id definitely recommend this company, we took two tours with them on our holiday and both times they exceed our expectations. The SUV was also very comfortable. We was sat at the back and had previously read a few reviews that said this was uncomfortable but we had no problems what so ever. There was lots of room, seats were comfy and most importantly there was air con, which was definitely needed as it was 40+ degrees!! Thanks for a great day!
I took this tour with my wife in August, 2019, and our experience was mixed. The GREAT: if you are already knowledgeable about alien lore and Area 51, and/or you have an intense love of the desert, then this is a very fun and pretty tour that takes you to Area 51's front door by way of amazing sights that include the Delmar Dry Lake flats where UFOs have been spotted, Rachel (the town nearest Area 51), and gorgeous open desert. The NOT SO GREAT: while our driver was very likable, he was NOT a UFO/Area 51 enthusiast (or even historian) by his own admission. He couldn't answer even the most basic questions about Area 51's construction and complicated history, how it is managed and secured today, and especially, details about documented sightings, UFO activity, reverse engineering, autopsies, or any of the other juicy stories that whole books have been written about. The driver's expertise was in desert flora and fauna, which was great, but having taken many fact-packed tours in the past, the guide's lack of knowledge about the purpose of the tour was obvious and disappointing. A note to the tour company: the guide also was a dangerous driver: he swerved for hours at 80-95mph to pass trucks (my wife had a clear view of his speedometer, and the terrified Australian couple seated behind us commented that they should've gone to the Grand Canyon instead) until he eventually received a speeding ticket -- a patrolman clocked us going 88, but mercifully wrote a ticket for only 75mph. Assuming the tour company fixes this safety issue, this is a fun tour if you're looking to see Area 51 and surrounding desert areas that are incredible -- but you'll need to read up on the area's history+lore beforehand, unfortunately.
It was an interesting tour. We rode in a big SUV (an Expedition or something similar). I like the intimacy of it as it made the tour more personal but our experience riding in the truck wasn't great. My friend and I were in the 3rd row which was really uncomfortable for such a long drive - very little leg room, a lot of road noise making it hard to always hear the guide, sitting on the wheels so you feel every single bump and get jostled around a lot especially anytime we drove on dirt roads (which was quite a bit). I was definitely glad when it was over. As for the tour and drive, there were plenty of stops for stretching your legs and using the restroom. There were also a lot of stops along the tour besides just Area 51, really giving you a good overall experience. The landscape was beautiful. We saw some interesting petroglyphs. Heard some interesting stories. The guide offered to teach us some camera tricks to take good pics. Lunch was good. And of course Area 51 was interesting as the focal point of the tour. Glad I did it.
It was a fun and exciting adventure. Clayton our driver and tour guide was a great driver. He shared many interesting stories and was filled with facts about Area 51 and the other areas we visited. He was comfortable to be around and it was fantastic. I will do more trips with Viator as they sre the best!
It was fun and informative. The tour guide, Bill, was personable and knowledgeable and kept us entertained with his stories about Area51 and UFO's, When we got to the gate to Area51 we were warned by signs as well as our guide to not step over the line indicated by the gate or we will be apprehended, One of the older signs also mentioned deadly force. Another highlight were ancient native American drawing on rocks and boulders that could be interpreted as space ships and space suited individuals.
An interesting and entertaining way o spend the day. Everything as advertised and more. The guide added so much more to the tour. The attractions were unique and we can cross a few things off our bucket list
The Area 51 Day Tour was very informative and quite pleasant. The driver was well informed, for the most part (I am a local) and when he was misinformed it wasn't on anything that really mattered. The only issue with the tour was the 'luxury SUV'. The Ford SUV was able to carry seven people but fortunately there were only five passengers. At this, we were having to 'climb' in and out and the second row of individuals would have to exit, even if they hadn't planned on it, to allow the last row to exit. A smaller bus type vehicle would have been more comfortable and accommodating for a tour where there are a lot of stops and passengers are making many exits from the vehicle.
Excellent tour started from just outside our hotel! Bill Monk our driver and guide was fantastic giving details of all the places we visited and highlights on the route. The dry lake and pictoglyphs which was the first site to be visited were a real eye opener especially for our 10 year old daughter. Lunch Was fun with plenty of things to buy....even a cuddly alien. Next stop Area 51 was a great photo stop made better by the fact the military were flying drones...no doubt filming us as we filmed it! Sadly it was now back to our hotels, did we now believe in aliens? Come and see for yourselves
