It was my second visit to this place - now with the entire family. The tour was well-organized, the pickup locations were convenient (we stayed in Mandalay Bay, picked up at Excalibur), and an email on the previous day specified the bus color and number as well as the driver name and the ETA of arrival at Excalibur. There was plenty of cold water, which was very helpful. Things to improve - in my opinion and in comparison to a nearly identical tour from 3 years ago: - I would prefer more information on the history (both natural and local population) and geography and less on the availability of add-ons (like helicopter and boat); - the duration information seems misleading (7 AM + 9 hrs = ~ 4 PM), so we purchased an 8 PM show. And then on the bus we were informed that "we may arrive to Las Vegas between 5:30 and 7:30". Fortunately - and thanks for our guide Layla and driver Derek - we made to LV earlier and were dropped at Delano with plenty of time on hands. An advise for those planning this trip: sunscreen and hats are a must. Hiking shoes are highly recommended. If you're planning to buy any souvenirs at the Skywalk, get a backpack for a group so your hands are free for climbing up the Guano Point (recommended). However, you may skip that part and buy the souvenirs at the base location after having visited all of the others. Also the backpack will be useful to carry those bottles of water, which you need for 4 hours between the arrival and the departure. Also, 4 hours are not enough for all the optional activities: Skywalk (highly recommended), heli and/or boat, zipline. So pick no more than two.
Tour was fabulous. The sky bridge was ok, felt it was there for them to make $ on photos. The second stop on the tour was breathtaking and could much more than the skybridge.
We enjoyed the trip. The arrangements were good with proper guide. All enquires were promptly answered.
Annoying late start to trip whilst waiting for other coach. After that a brilliant day. Inclusive food and water were excellent. Skywalk was amazing as was the rest of the visit. Fantastic!
Omg so awesome and the guide was excellent had a good time and thank god it wasn’t to hot. The tour was great. The only issue I had was I tried to take a helicopter ride but it was a two hour wait.
Excellent tour - I did the west rim day trip from Las Vegas with the sandwich option. I was staying at Caesars and the pick up was across the street at Bally’s. We had a motor coach bus - the big one, plenty of seats plus a bathroom. The bus stopped in a small town to pick up our sandwiches - I chose the ham and cheese. Very large sandwich for lunch. At the Indian reservation for the tour of West Rim - there are 3 stops that the reservation provides continuous shuttle service every 10 minutes - 2 sightseeing of the West Rim canyon and the last stop a make believe western town - cute for kids - horse back riding, mechanical bull to be thrown from, learn how to lasso a wooden cow - I enjoyed this lesson from a cowboy. The first stop of the West Rim has the SkyWalk - I did not purchase this option as I felt it wasn’t worth it and honestly it’s not. Plenty to see from the sides of the skywalk basically looking over the cliff - do not fall over it is easy to do so there are no railings. But the 2nd stop of the West Rim is the real magic....best view of the canyon - you see the Colorado river, gorgeous picturesque views to take lots of pictures. I encourage everyone to spend the most time at the 2nd stop. Also note there are no railings and you do want to look over the edge easy to fall off - if you have kids put a leash on them. But this vantage point offers 360 views as it’s a nice walk on the cliff with the west rim on both sides from above. If you’re hungry the Indians are cooking inside the station at all the stops - and it looked and smelled delicious - 1/2 chicken or rack ribs with corn and vegetables for approx $16.00. I encourage all to do this trip I paid $119 and totally worth it. Please note the tour company operating the trip is not Viator, it’s Grand Canyon Tours, but Viator pricing is the best they must have some discount because it’s less expensive than buying direct from Grand Canyon tours. Also when you purchase this tour, you will receive an Email and text message from Grand Canyon Tours on pick up times and locations. They pick up at specific hotels in Vegas - which are all convenient to where ever your staying.....just a short walk to the pick up and drop off is the same. Enjoy.
Have to highly recommended this trip. Our tour guide Jim was friendly, very informative, made the tour interesting. We got to see the Hoover Dam which was just as we imagined. The Joshua tree forest and the Grand Canyon which was amazing. You have to see it in person to appreciate the full expanse of the place. The Skywalk was a once in a life time experience for us, especially as my husband is afraid of heights but managed to get around the edge ok. The views from here are majestic and a very spiritual place to be. A deli style lunch was provided which was very good.
Our guide (Jim) and our driver (Derek) were knowledgeable and professional. They accommodated all requests and knew the answers to questions, including some that were not even asked. The tour vehicle was well-maintained.
Stephanie and Derrick were excellent throughout the whole trip. The visits to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon were excellent as well.
Tour could not have been better. Jorge was very informative, prompt, courteous and caring. The Mercedes coach was new and very clean. I think there were 15 of us. Jorge cared about our safety and our interest. He even had videos abut the construction of the Hoover Dam and the history of the area. So glad we went. The nine hour tour was the right amount of time...
Mitch was our driver, he was super funny, educated, and over all awesome! We had to figure out a way to the pickup spot which kinda was a bummer since we were only 15mins (walking) away, but to someone that cant walk far it was rough. The experience was so amazing though, definitely recommended for anyone of age, I took my 10year old boy and mother.
Roy and Jim were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had to wait on a couple to come back for 30 mins past the departure time, but they handled it professionally and tried to accommodate another rider who needed to be at the airport as best they could. Would highly recommend, just make sure it’s the only reservation you have for that day, so that if any unforeseen things come up you won’t miss your next event! We had a great time and will never forget this experience!
Our trip was fantastic right from the time we sat in the bus at Las Vegas. Roy who drove the coach was extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable throughout the journey. Stephanie our guide was also amazing and very patient in explaining the different instructions and also answering the many questions that we had. Thanks Roy and Stephanie. The lunch was also very good and overall the trip was a memorable experience.
Got downgraded from a large tour bus to a short 14 person bus, was cramped and not very wide aisles for a bigger person. Lunch was HORRIBLE. Dont order the veggie wrap, but all that was offered for a vegetarian. Should have given a voucher to pay for lunch at station 3 at the Canyon.Mitch was a nice driver and informative. Grand Canyon was breath taking. The overlook was extra and you cant take your camera on it.
Very nice experience Andy our driver Mike and tour giluide Marco were fantastic! If I make it out again I would do the tour again.
Mike was informative, funny and all around nice guy. His driving was Excellent!!!!!! Made the excursion that much more pleasurable
Viator has always delivered on all our tours I’ve taken. We loved this trip to the Grand Canyon .our pick up was easy, the bus was clean and comfortable, and the lenght of the trip was great. Also our lunch was great. The sandwiches were so fresh and the meat was delicious. The thing that made it so much nicer was our driver, Mike. He went out of his way for us to make sure we saw everything we could aling the way, stopping at extra stops but still kept our timing great, thanks Mike for the best day ever!
Our bus driver Michael and assistant Brenda were very pleasant and professional. Michael gave us a very good overview of the many areas and scenes, he even offered to take pictures for the passengers. We were offered water and a light lunch, I had turkey sandwich and my husband had vegetable , which were both good. The view of the grand Canyon is amazing.... BUT.... the sky walk...is breath taking (WE paid for that as a part of the package and was a great deal, much more affordable than many other tours we found). . At first everyone was afraid to step on the glass over the Canyon, well.....of course..you are about 2000 ft in the air... and that's about how far you feel like you are going to fall. Anyway, all in all, it was a beautiful trip, great experience and great tour guides and professional service. By the way, the driver was on time and tried not to leave anyone behind. Kudos...Micheal and Brenda. Joan and Nalton : Florida.
Our tour guide Mike is knowledgeable w good sense of humor Picked us up on time The bus was neat n clean Can be highly recommended Thanks Viator
Glass bridge sky walk is over hyped. Nothing else to see. Would recommend travelers to take another tour
