Stop At: Hoover Dam Access Road, Boulder City, NV 89109

Today’s tour offers a view of the Hoover Dam from the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, which gives a great view from 900 feet above the Colorado River and Black Canyon. Guests will also have approximately 90 minutes to explore the top of Hoover Dam and the Visitor Center. Guests will also have a chance to upgrade to a ranger guided tour of the interior of the dam with a trip 500 feet into the dam to view the turbines and the generator room, on the Power Plant Tour. All guests can view historical exhibits and the observation deck

The tour is of special interest to me as I was in the power construction industry for 35 years and have been involved with dam and hydroelectric plant works

Seeing the Hoover Dam was great. The only downside was being the 1st to be picked up and then picking up the rest of the people (not capped at 15) and on a huge slow tour bus for over an hour before finally leaving for the dam. To make it worse we were the last to be dropped off and had to do that all over again! Extremely frustrating!

Driver was real early and we were contacted, by the time we got out of Tropicana( awful long walk inside to door) and across street he had left. We called the number and company had driver come back. He called and the rest of the trip was great. Driver had a great personality and made the trip fun.

It was an amazing tour. Really enjoyed the history of the building of the Hoover Dam. Glad we went and will recommend this tour. Unfortunately, the boat part of the tour was canceled one day before the tour. We were very disappointed as we would have loved going on the boat ride on Lake Mead. We did get a partial refund. Oh well, at least the physical tour was very interesting.
