Considered one of the most scenic treks in Bhutan, the Laya-Gasa trek offers amazing views of Bhutan’s diverse unspoiled landscape: lush forests, high mountain peaks and green valleys. The 217km journey begins in Paro and takes you through evergreen jungles, challenging mountain passes and flowery meadows before finalizing in Damji. You will get to visit the Jigme Singye National Park, catch glimpses of the stunning mountain peaks: Mt. Jomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang and walk along a charming village with a crystal clear waterfall. A big highlight of the journey is the chance to explore the life of indigenous villages inhabited by Laya people and discover their unique culture and traditions.
