Day 1

Arrive in Lhasa. Pick up transfer to hotel and rest for acclimatization. Overnight in Tashitakge Hotel Lhasa or Tashi Nota Khangsang Hotel

Day 2 Lhasa highlights: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Bakhor Streets. Overnight in Tashitakge Hotel Lhasa or Tashi Nota Khangsang

Day 3 Lhasa-Yamdrok-Karola Glacier-Gyantse-Shigatse. 370 km, 8 hrs. Overnight in Shigatse Manasarovar Hotel or Gesar Hotel

Day 4 Shigatse-Saga. 449 km, about 8 hrs. Landscapes of the great Tibetan Plateau. Overnight in Saga Hotel or West Grand Post Hotel

Day 5 Saga-Lake Manasarovar. 495 km, about 10 hrs. Lake Manasarovar sand dunes. Overnight in local guesthouse.

Day 6 Leisure time around Holy Lake Manasarovar (Parikrama)-Darchen. Prepare for Mt. Kailash kora trekking. Overnight in Darchen Himalaya Kailash Hotel, the best available

Day 7 Pilgrimage Trek Day 1: Darchen-Dirakpuk, 18 km, about 6-8 hrs. Overnight in local guesthouse.

Day 8 Pilgrimage Trek Day 2: Dirakpuk-Zuktulpuk, 24 km, about 9-10 hrs. Overnight in local guesthouse.

Day 9 Pilgrimage Trek Day 3: Zuktulpuk-Darchen, 12 km, 3-4 hrs. drive from Darchen back to Saga, about 493 km, arrive around 8-10:30 pm, o/n at Saga Hotel or West Grand Post Hotel

Day 10 Saga-Shigatse. 449 km, about 8-10 hrs. Overnight in Comfortable Shigatse Manasarovar Hotel or Gesar Hotel or Tashi Choeta Hotel

Day 11 Shigatse (Tashilhunpo Monastery)-Lhasa. 280 km, 6 hrs. Guided sightseeing tour ends. Overnight in Lhasa comfortable Tashitakge Hotel Lhasa or Tashi Nota Khangsang hotel

Day 12 Depart Tibet, scheduled airport transfer leaving from Lhasa at 6:30 am, 8:30 am or 12:30 pm or any time for train station

It is recommended that you bring your own sleeping bag, or purchase one in Lhasa or in mainland China before your tour
During the trekking portion, you can leave extra luggage with the driver or hotel; it will be brought back to you by the driver when you are picked up after the Kailash trekking
Upon booking, please provide clear copies of all travelers' passports for the local tour operator in order to apply for your Tibet travel permit on time (at least 40 days before arrival date)
Please provide China visa copies at least 10 days before arrival date (travelers who do not need China visas to enter China just need to provide passport copies)
Tibet Permits delivery address in China (it could be your living or working address in China, or hotel address before flying to Lhasa)
If you're taking a train to Tibet from mainland China: You will only need a printed copy of the Tibet permit, which you will receive from the local operator via email
If you fly into Tibet from Kathmandu, Nepal: Please do not apply China visa in your country, but you need to have 3 working days in Kathmandu to get the Tibet Group Visa from supplier (extra cost for Tibet group visa is 125$ p.p for None USA/Canadian travelers, while US$215 p.p for USA/Canadian travelers)
