First time using this company and was very pleased. Florian was a great guide. Very knowledgeable on flora and fauna.
We had a wonderful experience on our full tour. Danny was a great tour guide. It was a rainy overcast day however we made the most of it.
Saw the highlights of Puerto Limon which weren't many and floated in the canals looking for wildlife. We were in a minivan--8 people, guide was good. Not really much to see unless you haven't seen the monkeys or the sloths yet. Good trip to take if you just want to see what is in the area.
There were ten of us on a fifteen passenger van. A great sized group. Our guides Miguel and Angel made the tour outstanding. They climbed fences and chased sloths in order to show us things we'd have otherwise missed. The canal boat driver pointed out many things we'd never have noticed . All three shared much about the area. Our ship arrived late and we had trouble finding our tour so sadly we did not get to the beach. A suggestion for Viator-find a way to better enable participants to link up with their tours. Our guide had a sign with our names but he was a long way from the ship. We asked a lot of people who were not able to help before we finally found him.
I had booked this tour and when I arrived I was the only tourist. My tour guide was gracious enough to spend the morning with me and gave me a private tour. He was wonderful and I enjoyed this adventure with him.
We had a great tour wth Frederico. He was a great guide. I was a little nervous about using Viator, but it was great. Frederico wa right there with my name on a board-waiting for us! We had the best boat on the canal which was owned by Frederico. There was only 8 in our group, so we got lots of personal attention. Would highly recommend this tour especially for the money. We saw more than even posted. Even went to a grocery store and picked up some snacks. Plenty of time to get back to the ship. A
We had a great exoerience. We booked this while cruising with Holland America. Our guide was Federico, he did a great job showing us aeound, starting with a stop to sample some local fruits. Then we made a stop in a banana plantation where he explain the process. The Tortuguero canal ride was great, we were able to see a monkeys, sloths, birds and more. We ended up with a visit to Bonita beach, the water was warm, there was not very many people so we were able to enjoy sometime swimming and relaxing while Dederico waited for us. We learned about the town, economics, real state and much more. We really recommend this trip!!
The guide was excellent, the Highlights were much more interesting then the canal simply for the fact of the dirty water. But the boat driver, guide and the highlight driver were great.
