Fado and dinner tour

Fado means destiny, fate. It's characterized by heartfelt tunes and lyrics infused with a sense of fatefulness and longing to which we use the word Saudade to characterize it. Besides attending a Fado concert, you'll be taken on a 30-minute walking tour through the alleys of Mouraria and Alfama. You start our Fado tour in Lisbon with a typical Portuguese dinner in our amazing hostel at Rossio's train station - Lisbon Destination Hostel. Homemade food, wine, and an amazing environment are the keys to any good Portuguese night.

After dinner, you'll wander the alleys and tight streets of old Lisbon on a small walking tour through Mouraria and Alfama, where you can get to know the streets where Fado was born. The guide will explain to you the history and the cultural importance of Fado, and how it shapes the mentality in Portugal. You'll end the tour at a traditional Fado house where you'll listen to the heartfelt melodies of Fado. Lose yourself in the atmosphere and mood of this typical Portuguese music genre played by the Portuguese guitar and characterized by heartfelt lyrics. While you enjoy the music, you will also get with some cheese, chouriço, and wine to warm your stomach and heart.
