Beautiful! The tour was okay. She was speaking in different languages so it kind of cuts into the time. But overall, Fatima was gorgeous and the tour served it's purpose.
Too short!!!! The trip was suppose to be a half day but it was only 1 and a half hour at Fatima with the tour guide taking a lot of that time. This was our first time to Fatima and traveled 3500 miles to get there.
We were in Lisbon and wanted to visit Fatima and the Sanctuary. We didn't have a full day so we chose this tour. The bus was exactly where it was supposed to be, and it was a small, very nice 16 seat bus that transported us to Fatima, about an hour's drive. The guide was bi-lingual speaking in Portuguese and English, so we were well informed - albeit slowly! There is really not that much to see that you would require a full day tour EXCEPT if you wanted to attend Mass at the Basilica. If that is the case, you could make it a full day or check ahead for the Mass times and see if it fits within your tours schedule. Great value and almost door to door service. Much better than taking the train and doing it solo.
We booked this tour with Cityrama. It was very disappointing. The guide who picked us up at our hotel was very unfriendly, almost rude. The guide who came with us on the bus to Fatima gave extremely limited information. It was generic info re the history of Fatima that is well known by most. When we arrived, she showed us the three main buildings and arranged to meet us about an hour and a half later, telling us that there were religious ceremonies available at 4-30pm. This cost us 110 euro as a couple and was way over priced. Because of the lack of information, it should simply have cost us the bus fair out and back. As we travelled, we spotted cork trees, olive groves and farming initiatives which we would very much have appreciated information about but none was forthcoming. The bus journey took an hour and 15 mins leaving plenty of time to explain the regions we passed through. We would not recommend this tour company's trip to this special place of pilgrimage. Tourists would be better organising their own way to visit Fatima.
The tour guide was unhelpful once we arrived to the site. There was not enough time at the actual sight to see everything. Felt very rushed and disorganized.
