Our guide who didn't even introduce herself handed us a head set at the beginning of the trip and asked us to listen to the narrated sections in a telephone device. No explanation of the sight no tips no what to look for or where to go once we are there, she was either on her phone or talking to the driver all the way back and forth. I think this tour is just a transportation method.
Amazing trip to Fatima. I was the only person in the microbus air conditioned with the driver and a tour guide. There is a tour guide for this tour, though it is self-guided tour. The tour starts at Pombal and within 1.5 hour the bus arrives to Fatima. The tour guide hands you a phone with the explanation how to use it and the Fatima site map, when and where you will be picked up. And you on your own. I had enough time to walk around the site twice. Was very impressed and deeply touched by the faithful pilgrims on their knees, visited the church with the service in it, the exhibition and much more, had some lunch in the Fatima restaurant. On the way back filled in some gaps in the phone explanation with the help of tour guide. It was a morning tour. Highly recommend this tour.
I don't understand what the other people experienced who wrote the previous reviews, but I can say we had an excellent experience with the team of Alexandria and Diego on July 2nd. We met them at the pick up place of Terminal in Marques of Pombal Square 5 minute walk from Sheraton and were provided with the listening/reading devices. The driver was such a smooth and good driver that we fell asleep on the way in and really enjoyed that we could do the tour at our own speed. This is a magical and spiritual experience that should be done alone, with friends and/or loved ones and not have someone telling you what to do and when to do it. Therefore, this self guided tour get 5 stars for that and for the excellent service provided by Alexandria and Diego. Muito Obrigada!
first it was late to leave the staff at the booking were not really friendly or helpful, It might be me I thought it was a tour with a guide to explain, the gave a phone here listen and you to fend for yourself. I was alone in bus the guide explain a bit the country on the way so thank god I brought my book so I can entertain myself. I did not like it specially when you are travelling solo.
