About this activity
Hop on a double-decker bus at the Lisbon Terminal in Marquês de Pombal Square. Settle in and cruise through Lisbon on one of four different but equally engaging sightseeing lines, including lines to Belém, Oriente, Castle or the charming beach town of Cascais.
Sunbathe on one of the many sandy beaches along the Cascais Line. Catch the best coastline views before settling onto a beach to unwind. Learn about the history of the towns of Cascais and Estoril. End your tour with glimpses of soft white sand dunes at Guincho beach and the green hills of the Serra de Sintra.
Discover the extraordinary Belém Line with 18 stops encompassing luminous squares that formerly filled with illustrious writers and fado folk singers. Visit Belém and learn about Vasco da Gama’s ships which aimed to sail a new route to India. Stop at must-see monuments including Belém Tower (Torre de Belém), Jerónimos Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jeronimos) and the National Coach Museum.
Venture the 19 stops of the Oriente Line for a non-stop day of excitement. Visit the Lisbon Zoo or the Oceanarium in Parque das Nações, which was home to the 1998 World Fair. Then check out the seven hills of Lisbon, where you’ll explore fashion boutiques, do some antiquing, eat at local eateries and find great vantage points. Jump out at one of many museums like the Water Museum filled with vibrant colors reflecting in docile pools.
Delve into the wonders of the Castle Line with eight stops overflowing with iconic experiences. Climb the stone steps within the Castle of St George (Castelo de São Jorge). Capture Lisbon’s best panoramic views from within the castle’s walls or find the Tower of Ulysses for views through a massive periscope. Next wander through stone laid alleyways and observe Lisbon’s Romanesque, Gothic and neoclassical architecture. Then rise to another magnificent view of the city with a visit to Portas do Sol.

Most of the drivers were great. The very 1st one we had was a little hot head - not towards us, tourists, but to the other motorists of Lisbon. He would make arms and hands gestures that I assumed to be his frustrations... and this was at 9 am... but again, the other drivers were great. They all drove through the same streets in Lisbon with other motorists on the road, but not as frustrated tour bus drivers. The stops for this specific bus tour are great. I'm glad to have chosen this line because it took us up to the last bus tour ride to get back. It was very worth seeing Lisbon through this tour. I recommend this tour.
The bus is to small as it was unable to pick us up on two occasions we finished up walking most of the route. Needless to say extremely poor value for the money
Excellent service from hop on hop off. dr9ivers very helpful
Tour audio was constantly blaring, and when we were stuck in traffic it just kept going. We never quite knew where we were or what was going on. Very poorly done!
We enjoyed every minute of the two day's tour around Lisbon. The great thing about the hop-on hop-off bus is you can get off whenever you find interesting location and then continue your trip. There were plenty of breath taking views to take in. We really enjoyed the experience!
