The Belem Tower was strategically built on the north bank of the Tagus River between 1514 and 1520, to defend the city of Lisbon, and is one of the jewels of the architecture of the reign of D. Manuel I. The pattern of the Discoveries was first erected in 1941 for the exhibition of the Portuguese world.

Viewpoint of Santa Luzia one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the city, with a superb view to Alfama and the river Tagus. In the detailed tiles of this viewpoint we can also see representations of the Commerce Square before the earthquake of 1755 and also of the Christian attack on the Castle of S. Jorge. Also featured here is the bust of Julius de Castilho, named after the famous olisipograph.

One of the biggest attractions of the Baixa Pombalina, and National Monument since 2002, the Elevador de Santa Justa was inaugurated in 1902. Also known as Elevador do Carmo, where we can enjoy a sensational view to Lisbon, in a route between Rua do Ouro and Largo do Carmo.
