It is in now way a four hour cruise as advertised. Further on, that day Portugal was commemorating 100 years of their Navy, so they closed the port and boat company did not even know about it and would not adapt to make concessions. Boat captain was very rude and dropped all of the passengers in middle of the city where no one knew how to get back to city. On asking he told everyone to get taxi and go to where-ever they intend to. Worst experience anyone can have.
The English speaking guide did not come on the boat, on the bus to the boat he didn't speak.to us, he did not give us any information. The only guide on the boat spoke through the loud speakers in Chinese. This was not a guided tour with an English speaking guide, it was a bus ride to the boat and a bout ride....I did not know where we were cruising, what buildings we were passing...nothing at all. The boat staff were friendly but did not speak English
The hotel pickup was really helpful - except that one was just dropped at a site where many tour buses and providers were gathered. After some confusion, we were sent to a bus which took us to the harbor and the boat - where we were told to hurry and board as it was about to leave. The tour director said that after the boat trip, we should return to that spot and look for a red bus to return to the previous site hotel return is not provided as she shooed us on to the boat. She did not accompany us. The cruise was lovely but there was no guidance. One had no idea what one was seeing, but it was beautiful and pleasant. The boat staff was very friendly and courteous, but communication was difficult due to language barriers and we had not been given information as to what to expect regarding purchasing food and drink. Surely it would have been less expensive to just buy a boat ticket and make one's own way to the harbor...
The cruise was really good, amazing pick up service and organisation. Views from the cruise are outstanding. Only negative was the missing guide, which was advertised on the voucher but apparently not part of this particular cruise we were told on the day.
Excellent afternoon cruise in glorious weather. Helpful and informative crew
It was light on history about the city, but it turned out to be a small sailboat so we had a very relaxing trip up and back on the river with four other people. After walking so much, it's a great way to be outside, seeing the city, but relaxing in the water on a sailboat. If you're expecting more of a tour boat, you'll want to look elsewhere, however. We had a great time!
Lots of photo opportunities and great lighting in the late afternoon. Very relaxing. A bit pricey but worth it for the serious photographer who wants pictures from a different angle.
