Day 1- Arrival to Lisbon, transfer and accommodation in Setúbal Hotel Rio and traditional lunch or dinner
Day 2 - Wine Tour JMF winery –Tiles Factory – Palmela Castle).
9:00, heading to Azeitão Village, famous for its cheese, conventual sweets and wines. The visit starts at the museum of Jose Maria da Fonseca winery* and finishes at the old wineries. The guests will have a chance to know and taste some of the wines produced at the ancient winery. The next experience is a visit to Azeitão Tiles, a typical and traditional tile factory Then we will head to Quinta do Anjo, for a gastronomic experience where we will have a buffet of traditional Portuguese food, with more than 14 dishes, wine, water, juices, desserts, cheese and traditional sausages.
After we will visit Palmela´s Castle from where we can see fantastic panoramic views .
Day 3 - Setúbal tour (Fish Market / Arrábida beaches/ Sesimbra Castle and Cabo Espichel).
Setúbal city that offers a mix of mountains, river and Atlantic ocean, wonderful beaches and one of the most beautiful bays of the world.
9:00.The visit starts at Livramento Market,
After stopping to eat a famous sandwich of fried cuttlefish, one of the famous delicious of Setúbal, we will head to Arrabida’s Park where guests can have a wide panoramic view of the surroundings of Setúbal, as well as the beaches .
Moving to Sesimbra, a small town of fishermen, the guests will enjoy the traditional Portuguese heritage and its diverse natural beauty. There will be a pause for lunch (not included) in a traditional Restaurant in Sesimbra. After that we will visit a famous Gothic Church, “Santa Maria do Castelo” in Sesimbra Castle.
Day 4 – Free Day to visit Setúbal
Day 5 – Traditional Lisbon tour.
The tour starts at 9:00 with pick-up at the hotel in Setúbal, heading to Lisbon to Parque Eduardo VII, the largest park in the Center of Lisbon. From there, the guests will cross Liberdade Avenue, and see the main areas of Lisbon downtown, namely the famous “Baixa Pombalina” and its historical buildings.
Driving through Lisbon we will visit Ribeira´s Market, the city’s main food market, with its traditional stalls full of fresh produces.There, a stop for lunch at the Food Court, that has a large range from seafood to steak sandwiches and other specialties (lunch is not included in the tour price.
After lunch we'll head to Geronimo’s Monastery Before visiting Belem Tower, an emblematic monument of Portugal, which served as a fortress to guard the entrance to Lisbon’s harbor, we will do a stop to taste a major tradition of Portuguese pastry, the famous “Pasteis de Belém” which are considered as one of the seven wonders of Portugal. Finally, we will visit the Discoveries Monument, built in 1960 to celebrate the 500 year of the death of Prince Henry, the Navigator.
