About this activity
We pick you up at the meeting location (any point in Lisbon Area), and start our tour at the one of the southern Europe´s slickest commercial and residential district of Lisbon.
The Park of Nations was the site of the World Fair in 1998 and it is still referred to as "Expo Parke" or just "Expo" by Lisbon residents. This entire area borders a 5 kilometer stretch of the river Tagus and it´s close relationship with the river that defines much of the area personality. The whole family can hop into a gondola for a gentle camera-gripping ride over the river bank in the cable-car witch provides a wonderful panoramic views over the Park.
You will be able to see Lisbon´s tallest building, the Vasco da Gama Tower (currently a 5 star hotel, known has the Myriade), and the Vasco da Gama Bridge with a simple design and only constructed from concrete, that has a total length of 17km. The sheer size is inspiring, especially when viewed from beneath in the Tagus Park. From there, you´ll be visiting the principal and number one visitor attraction of Portugal - the Oceanarium. The complex comprises a massive central tank and four outer tanks that represent the four oceanic ecosystems, where the range of fish is outstanding. Then you can let the kids loose at the Science and Technolodgy Museum - solely designed for children, but the parents will not be bored as the exhibits are creative and intelligent.
The Vasco da Gama Sopping center is one of the largest in Lisbon, with a range of multi-national, branded or designer stores. You will find an extensive food hall, cinema and supermarket. Standing above the shopping are two apartment buildings, that represent two of Vasco da Gama ships used in his epic voyage to India, the Saint Gabriel and Saint Raphael.
The tour concludes with the drop-off at the meeting location.
