Private Portuguese Cooking Lesson and Meal with a Lisbon Local

Take a short ride from the city center of Lisbon to get to Paulo and Susana's house in Apelacao, a quiet and open neighborhood in the outskirts of Lisbon. Paulo is a hotel management graduate who has worked in the hospitality industry for many years. Passionate about his profession, Paulo believes that authentic local cuisine must be at the center of every hospitality experience. Paulo's wife, Susana, is an elementary school teacher who shares Paulo's passion for cooking, and she devotes most of her free time to cooking and trying new culinary experiences.

From an early age, Paulo and Susana were taught how to cook by their mothers, two lovers of authentic Portuguese cuisine. Throughout the years Paulo and Susana became excellent home chefs, and they are excited about sharing their Portuguese culinary and cultural traditions with others from around the world.

Unless you have a particular preference, your hosts will choose to surprise you with their own selection of favorite local dishes. A brief preview: two of the house specialties are Paulo's chicken giblets and Susana's rice pudding. Your meal will conclude with a sample of sweet Portuguese desserts.
