For those who are in Lisbon, we designed a magnificent Tour to discover the emblematic city of Aveiro (Little Venice). A visit to Aveiro is increasingly mandatory and we idealized a first-class experience just for you.
Enjoy the enchanted and fantastic city of Coimbra, the first capital of Portugal for 200 years during the reigns of the earliest monarchs.This royal heritage permeates the city's steep hills. Further visit the largest completting Roman site in Portugal.
Aveiro is a thousand years old, of which two hundred and fifty as a city. It was founded due to commercial shipping and salt production. Surrounded by the stunning Silver Coastline, a lagoon and at the mouth of an estuary. Aveiro has both canals and gondolas the town is sometimes referred to as the Venice of Portugal.Take an opportunity to explore the Aveiro city going on a boat tour through Ria de Aveiro. This tour will give you the chance to get to know the Coimbra and Aveiro citys in a different way; it takes about 45 minutes, but you’ll see some of the most beautiful places in the city.
At 7:30 AM, our private driver/guide will pick you up at your Hotel and will drive you to Coimbra, where we will arrive at 10:00AM at Coimbra after a stop to relax and take a drink or eat. After visiting Coimbra we will departure from Coimbra at 12:00am and arrival in Aveiro at lunch time.
Our driver/guide will lead you to the city’s main sites like Statues on the bridges, Aveiro Cathedral and Costa Nova beach.
Lunchtime at 1PM (ncluded in the tour price) at Aveiro City. Enjoy dishes up excellent regional cooking, with good-value, high-quality from Seafood Cataplana (traditional seafood stew), the grilled cuttlefish and all kindsand bacalhau (codfish). Don't forget the desert and satisfy your sweet tooth with ovos moles (authentic sweets).
Aveiro Cathedral, also known as a São Domingos Church, is located in an old Dominican convent and should be on your list of the places to visit and things to do in Aveiro.
Costa Nova beach, also know as Costa Nova do Prado, is located on the west coast, 11 km from the Aveiro historic centre. The beach has as its main attraction the beautiful houses painted in a unique way, with vertical and horizontal stripes.
At 4:45PM is time to back to Lisbon to arrival around 7:30PM (depending on traffic and weather).
