About this activity
Departure from Lisbon in the direction of Vila de Sintra.
In the historical center you'll see beautiful cobbled streets, filled with shops and cafes where you can find traditional sweets, all around the Gothic style of the National Palace of Sintra.
Afterwards we will climb the Serra de Sintra, where you can enjoy the luxuriant and diverse flora. The Park and the Palácio da Pena, set in the Sintra mountain range, an inheritance of the creative genius of D. Fernando II, are the ultimate exponent of XIX century Romanticism in Portugal, with architectural references of Manueline and Moorish influence.
On the trip to Cabo da Roca, we will pass by the typical village of Colares.
"Here ... where the earth ends ... and the sea begins ..."
was how the famous poet Camões described Cape of Rock in the famous Portuguese epic 'Os Lusiadas'. Being the most western tip of Continental Europe
Travel to Cascais along the sea road where you can enjoy the ocean view and the famous Guincho beach.
Cascais was once an elegant summer retreat of the Portuguese monarchy during the 19th century and a haven for European royalty during World War II. Over time, this peculiar atmosphere has changed, but the splendor and icons of its maritime apogee have remained until today, through the elegant lighthouses, fortresses and the Citadel of the seventeenth century.
Return to Lisbon via Marginal to the Tagus River, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the sea, sunset, and Bugio lighthouse, which keeps the entrance to Lisbon!
