About this activity
• Meeting point at Restauradores Square. Restauradores are Portuguese heros who stop Spanish government in 1640 after 60 years of occupancy.
• You'll pass on Liberdade Avenue, created by Marquês de Pombal, after the strong earthquake that has distroyed most of Lisbon on November 1st 1755, as an fulcral part of reconstruction.
• After seeing Marquês de Pombal Statue, Eduardo VII Park and Amoreiras you meet Free Water Aqueduct that brings water to the whole old City. This monumental Aqueduct, was built before the 1755 earthquake and resisted in a fantastic consistency.
• In Queluz Palace, we'll stop for about 30 minutes. The Palace, built in the XVIII century, was the Winter Royal Residence .This area tends to be sunny and have a warm microclima.
• In Sintra taste "Queijadas" and go up to Pena Palace, It was the summer Royal Residence. Through Sintra wood in a sunny day observe the magic bright of the leades shaken by the wind, while the sun tries to reach the grass. The permanemt cold brisa comming from the ocean makes in this wood a special athmosphere to relax in Summer hot season.
• During about 15 minutes at "Vila" National Palace , on a local old street don't miss "Travesseiros" local special cakes.
• Driving to Roca Cape, Dinossaur footprints are shown on the Rocks, close to the coast at the south end of "Grande beach". You' need confortable shoes for a short walk in this natural park.
• After visiting Roca cape, you'll see Guincho windy beach, Cascais, Estoril, Oeiras and Belém.
• The end of Tour is Restauradores Square.
