WINE TASTING

The peninsula of Setúbal, together with the peninsula of Tróia, become more and more requested. The wine tourism product gained equal importance. From the large farms dominated by the variety Castelão(Red Wine), Fernão Pires (White wine) to the Moscatel(Sweet Wine), this region has always played a leading role in the history of Portuguese wines since 12th and 15th centuries. You will cross the Tagus River through the 25th Abril Bridge that has the curiosity of been built by the same company that did the Golden Gate Bridge in S. Francisco. The first stop will be at the Cristo Rei- Sanctuary with a Jesus Christ statue with a magnificent viewpoint over Lisboa. You will head south to the wine region of Azeitao (here you will visit the oldest cellar of the region). After the wine tasting is time to go to the fishing town of Sesimbra, famous for fresh sea food & fish and wonderful beaches. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. The Cabo Espichel will be visited before heading to the next wine tasting in Azeitão. After it we will get to Lisboa
