Stop At: Stonehenge, Amesbury SP4 7DE England
You will be picked up from your central London accommodation by your own private driver and guide and following a relaxed, scenic drive arrive in the beautiful Salisbury Plains.
A fully private guided tour of the Stonehenge Site at your leisure including time to visit the Museum, Restaurant and Shop. Your personal guide will be on hand to help take photographs and bring the history of Stonehenge to life.
Stonehenge continues to baffle and inspire Archaeologists and Historians. The exact when, how, why, and who questions still challenge the top professionals. Perhaps this is part of the reason that over 1 million people visit this ancient site each year.
Your guide will explain all the main theories, including the folklore and King Arthur connections in a fun, relaxed and informative way.
Once you have enjoyed the World Heritage site at your leisure, it will be time to drive through an area of outstanding natural beauty as we make our way to another Heritage site, the ancient City of Bath. The journey takes one hour, but you won't notice as you will be busy enjoying the stunning views as we drive through rural England.

Stop At: Bath Abbey, Bath BA1 1LT England
Included in the day trip is a walking tour of the historic centre of Bath including an optional visit to Bath Abbey. The Abbey is important as it was one of the last major Christian buildings built before Henry VIII split with the Catholic Church. Your guide will make sure you see all the key locations within the historic quarter of Bath.
Founded as a town by the Romans who viewed the natural hot springs as sacred, the settlement flourished and the Roman Baths became one of the most impressive buildings in Roman Britain. Neglected during the dark ages, the Baths had a renaissance in the 18th Century, and continued to be used until the late 1970's.

On your walk around the centre of Bath you will see the buildings that inspired Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, and where the Aristocracy spent their leisure time in the highly fashionable Bath Spa of the Georgian and Regency periods.

Richard, our tour guide and also the owner of the tour company, was prompt in picking us up at our London hotel and very conscious of the need to arrive at Stonehenge just as it opened in order to avoid the worst of the crowds. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw all aspects of the site. He made sure we took as much time as we wanted for our sightseeing and picture-taking. Then we traveled to Bath, where again he provided important background information and allowed as much time as we wanted. He had several suggestions for places to eat lunch depending on our interest. This tour is a long day because of the driving distance to be covered. While we were traveling Richard provided information on what we were planning to see but also gave recommendations for future sightseeing in the UK additionally he had questions and interest in our home city and state in the US. This tour met all our expectations.
I can't recommend Richard enough! Let's start out by saying he's very personable and took things at our pace, which is exactly what we wanted. He had great details and stories about everything and we enjoyed listening to him speak. We found him to be very interesting and easy to talk to for the entire day. Stonehenge was an amazing experience. We loved going and walking and taking great photos. Richard is was super nice and took great shots of me and my sister, which allowed us both to be in the photos. We loved that he was so willing to do that for us. Bath was super and we saw Jane Austen's house because he made it a point to show us. He also gave us great details and showed us different parts of bath that he thought we'd find interesting. We ate lunch at Sally Lunn's and OMG the food was amazing. Richard really did a good job suggesting a great restaurant. He toured with us and gave us details of everything but the best part was feeling like we were walking around with a friend and not just a tour guide. We were lacking a lot of energy so we went pretty slow but he didn't mind. My sister forgot her headphones in his car and he found them and made it a point to drop them off at our hotel before we left. He truly is an amazing guy and everyone should tour with him because he makes you feel super comfortable. We loved our day and will look him up again if we go back to London!
