Your personal driver will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 9:00 and drive you by a passenger van or sedan to Hampton Court to arrive there at opening time.
Built in 1515 for Cardinal Wolsey Hampton Court is a must see royal palace. Here you will be amazed as you enter across the moat and through the grand arched entrance into the first courtyard. From here you can visit the great Tudor kitchens that were enlarged by Henry Vlll when he took over the palace from Cardinal Wolsey.
Then it’s on to the best surviving Tudor hall in the country. Decorated with some of the most expensive tapestries of the time. This is where the king would eat and entertain. This is also where William Shakespeare would have performed for the king and his guests.
After leaving the hall you will see other Tudor rooms and The Chapel Royal.
Now it’s time to cross another great courtyard to the newer palace built by Sir Christopher Wren for the new king and queen William and Mary. Here you can wonder through the state and private apartments of William lll.
Now you can exit through another courtyard to see the magnificent gardens of Hampton Court including the maze and the worlds largest grapevine.
At the end of your independent tour your driver will be waiting to take you back to London.
