Enjoyed the tour inside the Abbey. A lot to see and learn. Very good and experienced tour guide. Only a very brief explanation of the Houses of Parliament.

You are required to meet at Abbey Store that does not open until 9:30. Rained all morning and got soaked. By the time we got into the Abbey, it was very crowded and groups were muddled in the church and given much too long narration. It took so long that I skipped out on the Parliament tour. It was a bit disappointing. The tour guide was impressed with her own knowledge and did not read her audience who were bored and impatient

Westminster Abbey was a spectacular sight with a vast and remarkable history that was very well explained by the tour guide. However the downside was the tour very nearly didn't happen, because our names were not on any of the tour guides lists when we arrived and inquired. Thankfully the tour guide allowed us to be included after much confusion. Additionally this was advertised as Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament, however Parliament was not open to tours, despite having been sold this way...disappointing

We loved this tour! The guide through Westminster Abbey was excellent and highly knowledgeable. She curated the stops so we saw the best and most interesting bits. Very interesting. Then she dropped us off at the Houses of Parliament where the tour switched to a self-guided audio tour, so you could buzz through or linger at your own pace. There was a nice break at our own pace before this second half. The HOP were very interesting and quite a nice special treat in that we got to walk right where the Lords and MPs walk, see and sit in their halls and chambers, all much more than I was expecting. Both halves of the tour were skip the line which is essential during the high season. Would highly recommend this package.
