London Eye River Cruise and Standard London Eye Ticket

It was worth paying for the package The London eye was a great experience although there was a big line up The cruise was amazing too! Our cruise guide, Liam was funny and really nice !

We thought that we would do the river cruise at 7:45pm and then go for the London eye carousel. But by the time we went to the carousel, we had missed the last time of 8:30pm and could not do it. Also we had leave from London the next day so we couldn't do it any other time too. If it was mentioned to do the London eye carousel before the cruise, we wouldn't have missed it.

You wait on line to get on the cruise. The cruise, led by a girl named Chloe, prodded a loud group of kids to yell up at people standing on the bridges. The kids yelled so loud we couldn't hear the commentary, which she continued over the yelling. Finally, someone on the bridge was prompted to throw a liquid down on us, which struck the baby sleeping next to us, me and my graddaughter, ruining her brand new white shirt. After telling the tour person about this we then had to get on about an hour long line for the ferris wheel. It was suggested that we could fast track. We got on the fast track line, which did not move for almost a half hour. When we got to the front we learned that the line would only save us 5 minutes total on the ferris wheel. The Ferris wheel line looked to be hours long so we simply left, forfeiting the large amount of money we spent on the combination. My advice is DON'T DO IT. We later learned you can take a cruise on the Thames with your Oyster card!!!! Then, you can check the line and buy tix for the ferris wheel if the line is reasonable. DO NOT BUY IN ADVANCE. Just get the fast track when you're there and use the oyster card for the boat.

Terribly crowded. River cruise was enjoyable. Line to board the Eye on the standard ticket was extremely long and we were able to exchange for a timed ticket at an additional charge. Apparently I missed this option when I originally bought tickets.

Really amazing. The river cruise was great and the London Eye was was something you must do if you even if you missed everything else in London.

Loved both events and having pre booked made access to them so easy and stress free. Well worth it too.

We had good time with London Eye River Cruise. If we were younger we would certainly have taken the optional Standard London Eye. As Senior Citizens we didn't feel comfortable taking the wheel although we are sure it would have been thoroughly enjoyable. We highly recommend taking the cruise and if possible the wheel.
