Meeting your friendly guide at the Travel Cafe in Waterloo, you'll be be offered a selection of comfortable hand-built British bicycles to choose from. Setting out, you'll follow your guide along quaint historic street and cobbled lanes across the oldest parts of the city stopping frequently to soak up the atmosphere and hear fun facts and stories. Get up close to St Paul's Cathedral, Leadenhall Market (home of the Leaky Cauldron from Harry Potter), the Bank of England, an unexpected fragment of the original Roman wall, and majestic Tower of London standing next to Tower Bridge. Learn what it truly means to be a Cockney by the church of St-Mary-le-Bow, and take in the illustrious history of the Corporation of London at Guildhall. Heading further east, you'll ride along picturesque inner city canals and see the old docks that used to be the centres of trade in London. Along the way you'll stop off at the oldest Thames riverside pub where you can enjoy a refreshing pint of beer with your group, right next to the hangman's noose where many dangled over the river for their crimes. Then its back on the bikes as you follow in the footsteps of pirates and smugglers back to civilisation via beautiful St Katherine's Dock and an ancient church overgrown with greenery.
