The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university in Oxford, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096,[2] making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's second-oldest university in continuous operation.[2][12] It grew rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris.[2] After disputes between students and Oxford townsfolk in 1209, some academics fled north-east to Cambridge where they established what became the University of Cambridge.[13] The two 'ancient universities' are frequently jointly called 'Oxbridge'. The history and influence of the University of Oxford has made it one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

Our guide, Katya, was incredible. Her knowledge of the intricate British history was profound. As former professional guides and tour company owners my wife and I were greatly impressed. Her driver navigated the countryside and motorways with professional skills second to none. Evan Evans should be proud to have such professionals in their employ. Warmest regards to all. We are a family of 5 - 3 teens, 2 adults - who ravel abroad often and enjoy sightseeing. I booked this tour I was looking for something a little bit different than the typical touristy locations. What a mistake. First let me say that Kevin and our guide were great - so was the bus - it was just the locations we went to and the lack of time at each stop (90min) that contributed to this being a big disappointment. Warwick castle is a tacky, Ren Fair theme park run by Madame Toussand so it's filled with wax people. If you are hoping, like I was, for a Heritage Site you will be disappointed. It's filled with food trucks and jousting and cheesy tours. Better off doing the walking tour of the wall around the castle than going inside. The next stop is Stratford Upon Avon. Cute little town that you will have no time to see. By the time you get here it's around 12:30pm - keep in mind that the bus left at 8:30am so breakfast for us was rather early, and we were starving. Bring snacks. First you need to see the Shakespeare's house with the group first which uses up at least 30min of you 90min, just waiting online. Then you speed through the house b/c you need to fit in lunch before you leave. It's a pretty busy little town to getting food in the remaining 50min is near impossible leaving no time to see anything. Last stop is Oxford. Again a 90min stay and the walking tour takes up about 40min of your time. This stop was the best part of the tour. At any point you could wander off and meet at at the bus, which we did. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday and the little market closes at 4pm - we arrived just before 4pm. The main street of the town is cute but very commercial - no real charm in my opinion - stores I could shop at at home in the states. If there was a satisfaction guarantee policy I would ask for a refund. It's a long day and a lot of money to invest to get not much out of it.
This was a fabulous tour and our guide, Rowan, was tremendous. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Warwick Castle was very enjoyable, Stratford was fun and the place we are was recommended by our guide and was excellent, and our walking tour in Oxford was delightful.
Well done #Rhys and #Elisa - well guided and well designed 3 stop tour packed with info and loaded with beit humour .
The Warwick castle was amazing as the other stops as well. Rowan and Lester made my day. Definitely recommend!
The seats on the bus was a bit too small. If you want to sit with you family, you have to come early to the bus station. They didn’t stop at Cotswolds just drove pass by. The Warwick Castle was beautiful and the Shakespeare’s birthplace was nice but so little time to walk around Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Our tour guide's knowledge was exceptional and with his humorous remarks and genuine interest in the group making the most of the journey the tour was made worthwhile. We would highly recommend the tour, the tour group Evans and the tour guide whose name escapes me (Sunday 9 June 2019).
We did this tour on our last full day in London. We were ready to get out of town and the tour was the perfect activity for our family of 6. Sheila was our guide and Kevin the driver. Sheila was so lovely and informative. She really made the entire journey lively and fun - including the driving portion of the tour. We all learned so much and would recommend this tour highly.
Rowan and Alan were the best tour guide and bus driver! Full of historical knowledge and fun facts, they really put the icing on the cake for this trip! Warwick castle - lots of fun - Stratford-upon-Avon - quaint town with a lot of character and Oxford - such great architecture! We thoroughly enjoyed this trip!
This was my family's first trip to London, and the tour was a great way to see some sites outside the city. Rowan, our tour guide, was charming funny, and made the history come alive. As a Game of Thrones fan, I especially enjoyed when she explained how GoT characters were loosely based on Wars of the Roses historical figures, Lancasters and Yorks (Lannisters and Starks).Warwick Castle was so impressive. Stratford-upon-Avon was lovely - I just wish it hadn't been pouring rain at the time! It was still fun to explore the quaint little shops and enjoy creamed tea with scones. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our first visit to the UK. Highly recommend!
This tour was a great overview of English country side. This day tour was well organized and it was in both English and Spanish. I did the tour solo and I had plenty of time to visit Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, and purchased souvenirs. The tour did not have any stop at the Cotswolds, but I got to see the scenic villages from the bus window. Overall, I had a great day exploring the central side of England, and I would definitely recommend this tour.
I had a wonderful time on the trip to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick castle . The weather was rainy in the morning but by afternoon the sun was out. I advise you to bring all weather gear . The tour guide Godfrey was excellent . He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our bus driver was great. The tour was just long enough and it was nice to get out of London and see the greenery of the countryside.
Kudos to Mark and Monica for an organised journey. You get a wonderful taste of places outside London
The guide was pleasant and entertaining driver was professional, bus a/c broke down in hot sunny weather left bad impression
David, the guide, and Joe the driver, were fabulous!! Trip was on time, efficient and professional. David was a humorous and interesting guide, keeping us alert and having fun!
Our trip was outstanding! We had Anthony Matthew's as our guide and his knowledge was incredible and entertaining. His since of humor made the trip special and he made it a point to get to know all 18 people on the tour. Warwick Castle and Oxford were beautiful! Stratford upon Avon and the Shakespeare sights were nice as well. You only drive through Cotswold and do not stop so it being part of the tour name is a little misleading but overall it was a great day trip out of London!
Oliver and Michael did a good job and made for an enjoyable tour. The sites were very interesting and Oliver gave good information throughout the tour
Katia was our tour guide and she was fabulous! She was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. We had a wonderful day filled with history, stories and anecdotes. We would highly recommend this tour! We loved the variation of the trip and being able to see four different places made it so special. Thanks you Viator!
