It was one of the best tours that I have taken with Viator. Both the driver and guide put a lot of effort to make it a memorable day.
The tour was brilliant and our guide Alicia was simply outstanding. She was so full of anecdotes and the nuggets of information that she doled out throughout the day have got simply burnt into our brain. Also her tips on eateries, pubs and shopping made things much easier for us. Thank you Viator. Thank you, Alicia.
The tour was for the most part OK.. We would've liked more time in Startford Upon Avon. And the Cotsworlds was nice, but mostly seen from the bus. The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable, but the bus driver didn't seem to speak English and therefore did not communicate with the passengers. In fact, we were dropped off at a different location from where we were picked up in the morning, without warning. The tour guide had left the tour in Oxford and the bus driver had no idea on how to respond to our questions. Most of the passengers were suprised and unprepared to be dropped off somewhere else. I later read some other reveiws where customers complain about the same thing. The company should be upfront about this and let everyone know where the drop off will be in advance. This surprise ruined what was mostly a pleasant day.
Our driver Darren was professional and knowledgeable about London and surroundings. Our guide James was excellent, don't think we could have had any better person. Stops in both Oxford and Stratford Upon Avon were for more than one hour which is appropriate for such short tour given the distance of travel. There was a short stop in Bibury. We liked our trip.
Excellent bus driver and tour guide. Would recommend this tour over Stonehenge and Bath to families and friends.
Darren our driver and James our guide were perfect hosts for an incredible day of sight-seeing. I'm stealing James' description (which I believe he credited to a friend) of these types of tours- they give you a taste of what could be a very large meal. England is overflowing with incredible must-see quality sites, and these tours are the perfect way to get a flavor of those sites you just can't afford a large meal's worth of time to. James was great at giving us an overview of the towns, giving tips of what to see and skip, and allowing just the right amount of time to sample the flavor of these incredible sites. Stratford-Upon-Avon and Oxford are both majestic towns that could each gobble up 2-3 days of your time. If you can't afford that much time, hop on with James and Darren for a perfect English day!
This tour was great. Super clean bus, very comfortable ride. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Not enough time (20 minutes total) in the Cotswold's.
Enjoyed the tour. Wish we could have had a little more time in Stratford Upon Avon and a little less time in Oxford, just for balance. Please note that the return dropoff location outer London Overground stop is not the same as the starting location Central London underground stop, so you'll need to leave yourself more time on the return to make your way back.
Highly recommend. Guide Helena and Driver Darren provided a delightful mini- motor coach excursion out through the Cotswolds, to Stratford Upon Avon and Oxford. Helena had great history knowledge which was infused with humorous anecdotes. Her instructions were clear and concise. Darren was an excellent driver, on the return playing old school Motown on the radio. Very cool. This tour is a great sampler for the areas visited. I intend to visit them for a longer holiday in the future, particularly Oxford. Thanks for a great day out in the Cotswolds!
I really liked that the group was small. Rosie is a knowledgable tour guide. But it was also nice that we had time to explore on our own. Unfortunately, we did not stop in Bourton-on-the-Water as I had expected as this was in the tour highlights. To be honest that was the selling point of this tour.
Tour was amazing! All of the sites were beautiful and Rosie was a fantastic tour guide. I really enjoyed my karaoke with her on the bus ride!
Great tour! Highly recommend.
