Walking Westminster: Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, & Westminster Abbey

Your tour begins on the South Bank at one of the most impressive viewpoints of the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben. Here, You'll hear about the history of the Palace and the British political system. Crossing the river, we’ll see the London Eye before entering Parliament Square for a look at some of the famous political personalities who have been memorialized in statues there. Your guide will tell you about some of their favorites, including the suffragist Millicent Fawcett. Then you'll take in the facade of Westminster Abbey and discuss some of the important events that have taken place in the Church along with the important people buried beneath it. Then, you'll head into some hidden side streets filled with architectural relics of Georgian London and emerge into one of the all-time classic views of Parliament. Your guide will find a spot between the news anchors reporting on Parliament that day and give you interesting facts and stories about the British government. Don’t forget to take a few photos with one of the most impressive backdrops in the city.
