Alms Giving Experience
The sacred alms giving tradition of Buddhists monks in Laos has continued to amaze and humble the rest of the world. This sacred practice, which is a daily ritual for the monks, involve a procession of three hundred walking silently by. They are begging for their daily food and collecting sticky rice, and other offerings in their bronze bowls. This expresses their humility, and gives the community a chance to give offerings. You will be able to see this mystical experience first hand early in the morning, and even be able to participate in it by providing an offering of food for them. Afterwards, you will take a short drive off to the Kuang Si Waterfalls, with its white limestone and calcified tiers.
