Stop At: Tad Sae Waterfall, Luang Prabang Laos
Xieng thong temple: Luang Prabang is renowned for Buddhist temples of outstanding beauty with Wat Xieng Thong an outstanding example. A symbol of great historic importance, xieng thong temple is the one most beautiful in luangprabang. So you don’t miss this case and you must be touch by yourself.
Tad Sae waterfall is a spectacular natural wonder best appreciated in the wet season. Despite not being as high as Kuang Si waterfall there are many more streams of water which cascade and make a thunderous sound following plenty of rain. The falls pour over beautiful limestone formations across a variety of levels into large pools below, which are fantastic to swim in. Tad Sae is only reached by boat, making it quite an adventure and an opportunity to retreat into nature and get close to the locals who head there in groups over the weekend. If you prefer peace and tranquillity then you’re better off visiting during the week. The water is cool, offering swimmers a refreshing dip which is best experienced from August through to November. If you’re visiting Luang Prabang at any other time then head to Kuang Si waterfall instead.

Kor our tour guide arrived on time from the email at 8am. Walking up phou si hill at sunrise was never brought up by the company, so that was skipped. We did see the other three temples, which was nice to have some information told about them and fun cultural stories to relate to about the tree of life and the drums. The royal place was “ok” but tourists can’t take pictures unfortunately. Loved going to Tad sae falls. It really is like a swimming pool in the first area and the falls hitting your shoulders are a great massage. Food is sold there is still hungry after lunch. You can also help support the rescued elephants there, with rides and getting into the water with them. Lots of fun was had and learned a lot of my tour guide. Very safe driver as well accompanied us on the private tour. Will highly recommend to others!
