After a two-hour cruise on Lake Como, you’ll understand why movie stars find the beauty of the alpine region irresistible. Your guide, a local expert who’ll stay with your group the whole trip, will point out George Clooney’s former lakeshore villa, as well as villas that appeared in Star Wars and James Bond movies.
On returning to dry land you’ll visit the stunning town of Bellagio, often called “the pearl of Lake Como”. Your guide can offer recommendations, but it’s up to you whether to go shopping, sample the local food or simply soak up the charming atmosphere.

Stop At: Lake Lugano, Lugano Switzerland
Less than an hour after your bus leaves Bellagio, you’ll cross the border into Switzerland. Nestled at the foot of the Alps you’ll find Lugano, another lakeshore town. Very well organized the tour guides did a great job and were very knowledgeable. The overall tour was way too long. The boat portion was too long and the bathrooms on the boat were very disgusting
Our day trip to Lugano and Lake Como was fantastic. Our tour guide, Catarina, was extremely knowledgeable and provided a good balance of both guided tour and free time. Lake Como, and specifically Bellagio, was spectacular and almost surreal. A must-see if you’re traveling in northern Italy.
What an amazing trip, every place visited was so beautiful. The whole trip felt relaxed and the tour guides were fantastic!! Highly recommended
Our day through Lugano, Italy and the town of Bellagio on Lake Como was a real highlight. Our guide Marta from CityWonders was fabulous. Extremely friendly and knowledgable with a bubbly personality, she didn't miss a beat as she explained many different things as we drove to fhe sleepy but beautiful town of Lugano in Switzerland. With around one and a half hours of free time to wander around on our own, gives you enough to explore the sights and do a little shopping, although everything is extremely expensive. Unless you're buying something especially from Switzerland that you cannot buy anywhere else, I suggest you purchase items back in Italy where it will be much cheaper. After that we all boarded the bus and headed for the gorgeous town of Bellagio on Lake Como. Nothing less that magnificent in beauty, character and wonder. The downside is many streets with cobblestones which makes it difficult to walk unless wearing comfy shoes. The other negative is many steep hilly sidestreets - while lovely and very characteristic, you need to be reasonably fit to climb the hills to explore all the lovely shops that line both sides of the street. Many shopshave signs on the ledges outside the stores saying "please do not sit here" obviously indicating people needing a rest from the steep climb. The shoreline on Bellagio is lined with many restaurants facing onto Lake Como. We had a lovely restful lunch sitting under the shade of a beautiful tree that was like a canopy providing us with a lovely cool breeze and much needed shade from the heat. Then after two and a half hours of free time, we headed for our boat that sailed for two hours showing us all the beautiful properties, churches and wonders of Lake Como. This was nice but a little long. Marta was a truly fabulous guide and gave us a very informative and memorable day. A definite must do day trip when in Milan!
The trip was amazing, Lugano is very nice city, Como lake and bellagio is fantastic. I prefer to extend the time in Switzerland since it is less than 2 hours.
Overall it was good a trip but very limited time to spend if u want to sight seeing and at same time want to do some shopping.
Alexandra and Alessio were great guides. Gave us free time where possible, but also gave us hot tips on what to look out for. Amazing!
The guides are wonderful and the trip is well organized. Worthwhile to take this one day trip if you wish to explore sthg other than shopping. Worst thing is my chocolates melted before it reach Milan else this trip is perfect in all aspects
From beginning to end our trip was wonderful. Our guide, Eliza (the self described brunette) was timely and thorough with her descriptions. Her knowledge of the expansive history of the region was delivered eloquently. The scenery and experiences will never be forgotten!
On this trip the job of the guide was mostly to get you there and let you go roam around for a couple of ours and make sure nobody goes missing. Basically a babysitting job. They did not go into history of Como and Lugano. The only time the guides were very informative are on the cruise on Lake Como. The talked about some of the villas and their history. That part was quite good. Our guide, Bianca was good and helpful, but more history of the area would make it much more interesting.
Carina was our guide with Riccardo our bus driver, Excellent tour. We had free time to explore Lugano on our own. Loved Lugano. Lake Como was beautiful. Belaggio crowded and hilly. Two hour cruise on Lake Como was too long. Would have preferred 1 hour lake cruise and extra hour in Belaggio.
A visit by boat and bus in one day for pleasure. It was a wonderful experience for me and my husband
1. Very good of time management 2. Well educated of the tourist guide 3. Nice route of scenic points
Well organized, enjoyable and great tour guides ( Laura and C) ...Many things to see as a group and enough spear time for own exploration....Thanks!
