About this activity
Your local expert tour Guide will pick you up at 06:00 am from your Hotel in Luxor and accompany you to visit Edfu temple, (located midway between Luxor & Aswan). The temple of Horus at Edfu is the most complete and best-preserved of all Egyptian Temples. The temple was constructed between 237 BC and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic Period. And then proceed with a drive for about 70km further south to visit the double Temple of Kom ombo which has a symmetrical construction; two entrances, two sanctuaries, and a line of symmetry that divides the temple into the domains of Haroeris the falcon and Sobek the crocodile.
Continue to Aswan to visit the unfinished obelisk in Aswan granite quarry. The creators began to carve the obelisk directly out of solid bedrock, but cracks appeared in the granite and the project was abandoned. the unfinished obelisk impressive structure not only makes visitors stand in awe due to its gigantic size, but also offers unusual insights into stone-working techniques developed by the ancient Egyptians.
And then, enjoy a motor boat ride to Philae Temple Island, the earliest monuments on the Philae island date to the reign of the last native Egyptian Pharaoh Nectanebo II, while the largest structure on the island is the Temple of Isis, Goddess of magic and healing. After lunch (included), you will be transferred to Aswan train station for your AC seated train back to Luxor (Almost 3 hours Transfer). Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
