About this activity

Day 1

Upon arrival at Luxor Airport you will be transferred to your cruise ship for a 7 night Nile cruise. After check-in, you will enjoy a guided day tour of the East Bank of Luxor with a visit to Karnak and Luxor Temples.

You spend the night on board in Luxor (Meals included: LD).

Day 2

Today the ship will sail to Esna and you will spend the night on board in Edfu (Meals included: BLD).

Day 3

After breakfast on board, you will be taken to see the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Afterwards, the ship will sail toward Aswan. Overnight on board in Aswan (Meals included: BLD).

Day 4

Free day in Aswan. Today you can spend the day at leisure or you can choose an optional tour to visit Abu Simbel Temple (at an additional cost). Overnight in Aswan (Meals included: BLD).

Day 5

After breakfast on board you will begin a guided day tour, starting with a boat trip to the Temple of Philae. This temple was built in honour of goddess Isis. After this visit you will go see the High Dam.

You will be transferred back to the cruise ship for lunch. Then the cruise sails to Kom Ombo where you visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. After this temple you will have dinner on board as the ship sails toward Edfu, where you spend the night on board (Meals included: BLD).

Day 6

After breakfast on board, the ship will sail toward Luxor. Just sit back and enjoy the scenery along the way. Overnight on board in Luxor (Meals included: BLD).

Day 7

Early in the morning you have the possibility of starting your day with an optional hot air balloon ride over the West Bank (at an additional cost).

After breakfast you begin your day tour of the West Bank of Luxor. First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank. Your Egyptologist tour guide will be on hand to recommend and advise you as to which tombs to visit. After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Ramses III (Medinet Habu). Afterwards, you will be taken to see the Colossi of Memnon, the two largest ancient statues in Egypt. At every site you will get information from your Egyptologist tour guide and you will get free time to explore the ancient monuments by yourself.

You will be transferred back to the cruise ship for lunch. At night you have the opportunity to enjoy one of the best things to do at night in Luxor, which is the Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temples (at an additional cost). Overnight on board in Luxor (Meals included: BLD).

Day 8

After breakfast on board, you check out at 8 AM to be transferred to Luxor Airport (Meals included: B).
