Private Tour: Dendera and Abydos Temples from Luxor

In the early morning, your driver and guide will pick you up from your Luxor accommodations. Begin the 2.5-hour drive to Abydos to visit the temple where ancient Egyptians believed the "Lord of the Underworld" to be buried. The temple was built by King Seti I, yet completed by King Ramsses II, and is known as the Temple of Seti I. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt.

Break for lunch at a restaurant of your choosing before heading to Dendara. There, you will visit the Temple of Hathor, also historically known as Temple of Tentyra. While inside the Temple, take time to observe the laboratory, Shrine of the Throne of Rê, Shrine of Isis, and Shrine of Hathor, herself. After you have completed your tour, begin your journey back to Luxor where your driver will return you to your accommodations.
