Stop At: Jardin Majorelle, Rue Yves Saint Laurent, Marrakech 40000 Morocco
Your Marrakech garden tour begins with an afternoon pickup from your central hotel or riad. Enjoy a scenic drive along the city’s fortress with the Atlas mountains as a background, en route to two of Marrakech’s spectacular oases. The Majorelle and Menara Gardens are a haven of peace in a city of chaos.
Your first stop is the world-famous Majorelle Garden, a 2.5-acre paradise of exotic plants and fountains set in the heart of Marrakech. Designed by expatriate French artist Jacques Majorelle, the gardens were inspired by the Art Nouveau movement and reflect Majorelle’s love of flora and fauna. Marjorelle’s studio is now a vibrant museum, which has become known for its deep blue color aptly called “Majorelle Blue.” After being somewhat neglected following the painter's death, the gardens have since been restored to its former glory by Yves Saint-Laurent, whose ashes were scattered in the rose garden.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Menara Gardens and Pavilion, Avenue de la Menara, Marrakech 40000 Morocco
Continue your tour with a visit of the Menara Garden, at the entrance to the Atlas Mountains. Built in the 12th century by sultan Abderrahmane, the area was his summer residence. Explore the stately pavilion, orchards and olive groves as you stroll the historic grounds.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Marrakech Ramparts, Marrakesh Medina, Marrakech Morocco
After the gardens, continue on a horse drawn carriage ride around the city. Pass by the ruins in Hivernage and Mamounia as well as the Agdal Gardens, which are part of the royal domain, before returning to your hotel or riad.

The Majorelle gardens are stunning by itself worth the trip. The Menara 'garden' is a large olive grove without much to see, although we had fun watching the families picnic and make music. The horse 'tour' was completely a miss, simply a carriage ride out to the suburbs and back with no real view.
It was ok. The garden was beautiful, but it would have been more fun with a guide explaining the plants etc. Overall, a good trip. Me and my mother enjoyed the garden and the carriage ride.
very nice tour. well organized
very nice tour well organized
The tour fulfilled my expectations the tour guide was highly knowledgeable and pleasant. Through no fault of his own, the public garden was in disastrous shape perhaps disgusting, while the Majorelle garden was sublime. I would use the tour guide again. He and his driver were courteous, professional and sensitive to their customers' needs.
Not like it very much and not value for money. Only thing I enjoyed about this tour was the city tour on horse carriage. The gardens was not very interesting specially the second one. It's just a public garden where you don't have to pay to get in. Not recommended.
An excellent tour which included coach tours to the Marjorelle and Menara Gardens with a horse and carriage ride back to the centre of Marrakesh. The Majorelle Garden is superb, well designed, full of interesting plants and extremely well maintained. By comparison the Menara Garden is not so interesting. Just a small pavilion plus a large reservoir surrounded by olive groves much litter around and some mud brickwork in need of repair. However the splendid horse and carriage ride back soon made up for this disappointment. One word of advice the Viator website states, Your Marrakech garden tour begins with an afternoon pickup from your central hotel or riad. Ours nearly did not. Our riad was in the Medina and therefore central but the first advice from the local tour operator was to report to a meeting point some 3.3 km from the riad. It took an email to Viator and a second call from the UK to the tour operator in Marrakesh to secure a local pick-up in a minibus. On the day this arrangement worked well, but both Viators and the local operators communication skills need improvement.
