About this activity
Enjoy a day by walking through the shaded olive groves, where the trees have been owned by generations of Berber families. Continue along the paths and begin to descend to the gorge below the falls, first looking out over the valley spreading before you. Walk along the river rapids and continue through the shaded groves, until you come in sight of the falls. Three large cascades feed into a single fall that crashes into the pool below. Descend down and take a barge across the river and into this basin, bringing you closer to the falls, where you can feels it's spray. After a pause to enjoy the sheer beauty and enormity of this wonder the barge continues on, taking you to the opposite bank.
Here you can now continue to relax and enjoy the scenery or perhaps get some lunch. Restaurants and cafes can be found at several points along the way as you begin your journey back to the top, so there are plenty of places and views to choose from as you sit, rest, and enjoy some traditional Moroccan cuisine. Finally though it is time to move on, and continue back up. Along the way are several lookout points that provide even more spectacular views of the cascades, and the rainbows that appear in it's mists. Eventually it is time to return to the city and enjoy the totally different wonder that is night-time in Marrakech.

Abraham, our tour guide for the falls was amazing! Funny, helpful, and knowledgable. Smaller groups needed! Spent alot of time wasted waiting for people to catch up, and listen. Great value for money! Please listen to the guides, and only jump in where told safe, and NOT HEAD FIRST! witnessed a horrific accident as he did not listen, hope he is fine.
Had a great time on this tour. Put your best walking shoes on cause it's a good amount of walking and stairs. Luis was a awesome tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of the Moroccans and gave off an approachable personality. Would recommend this to anyone. 4 stars cause of the long drive.
Very, very impressive trip to the waterfalls. The tour guide Ibrahim spoke perfect English and despite a relatively large group tried to be there for everyone. Really a very recommendable trip.
The road is long but worth it, the falls are just so beautiful ! Our guide Lachen was perfect and explaining everything very clearly ! He also didn't push any kind of sales and helped us with the monkeys without having to pay the guys that are there ! Very nice tour we appreciated !
A great day out from start to finish. Pick up was on schedule and journey was relatively comfortable with one comfort break on the way (and one on the way back). The guide, Ibrahim, was entertaining, very knowledgeable and made a point to let everyone know about the local scammers (charging for pictures with the monkeys). The falls were spectacular and the pontoon ride at the bottom was definitely worth the 20 Dirhams for the photo opportunities. The walk back to the top of the waterfall, via the monkeys, seemed a little difficult for some of the group so this trip may not be suitable for the less active. The lunch at the end was unspectacular for 100 Dirhams, but hey, you didn't travel 3 hours for the lunch. A couple of tips. Make sure you take your own toilet paper unless you are happy to go without! Also, take your own fruit to feed the monkeys at the waterfalls, they prefer it to the nuts on sale.
We had amazing time! Journey goes smoothly, our tour guide Ibrahim went above and beyond to make us have fun. One of the best excursions we have ever been on. Also the price is very good (hotel where we are staying is offering the same for twice the money). Will recommend this trip to everyone who will go to Morocco.
We had a fantastic trip to Ouzoud Falls. Pickup and dropoff to hotel was great, no hassle. Our guide at the falls, Ibrahim, was funny and informative and the whole day was perfect, including the lunch at a rooftop restaurant, great tagine! The Falls are spectacular and definitely worth a visit and I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
This was a great trip if you want to get away from the busy city and enter some peace and quiet. Feed the monkeys, let them sit on your shoulders, just don't let them rob your from your bag of peanuts like they did to me lol I recommend bringing a water bottle, snacks, and a bathing suit if you want to swim. The tour guide was excellent, and the people selling their merchandise do not pester you the way they do in the Medina's. This is a very relaxing and calm place to be. Bring good shoes that have traction, some parts of the trail can be a bit steep so good shoes is advised. This is trail is not too much for children or elderly people to handle either.
The day was amazing. The only mishap we had was with our pick up. The driver didn’t come to our villa and waited elsewhere and didn’t let us know. Nonetheless the trip was great and the guides were amazing.
I discovered so much from this tour. Knowledgeable guide, ‘party’ was just right size. Overall a super experience
