Chateauneuf du Pape Vineyard Wine Tour
During this private excursion, you will experience a special day visiting some of the best vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape, including Domaine de la Solitude, a family-run estate, cultivated for 600 years by descendants of Pope Urbain VIII and Château Mont-Redon a gorgeously placed vineyard set amid hillside vineyards then dine on typical Provençal country food coupled with tasting some of these exceptional wines.
You will first have a guided tour of the old village of Châteauneuf du Pape and a visit to two small cooperatives as well as the Museum of Wine. Châteauneuf du Pape is the heart of a region full of history, culture and "joie de vivre." A magical place that appears on the hill like an island rising out of a sea of vines. At the summit stands the ruined château built by the popes in the 14th century as a summer residence to escape the city heat of Avignon. The popes planted the town's first vineyards.

During the afternoon a visit two very different vineyards - first a winemaker with an 8ha vineyard based exclusively on the appellation and second a 43ha family estate owned by five generations of wine producers. We will introduce you to the iconic Châteauneuf du Pape wines established in the 1880s that produce wine where tradition is enhanced by modernism and excellence, and a tasting of course.
