Matera stone churches tour

The excursion to the Parco delle Chiese Rupestri (Park of Stone Churches) is a beautiful and special experience for both adults and children alike. Through this path you can identify the history that characterizes this place, from prehistoric times to the Bronze Age, up to the Middle Ages. On Murgia Timone, along the paths used since Neolithic times, where the first human settlements of prehistory took shape, we will visit the remains of a primitive burial and the ancient traces of a Neolithic village. Continuing along the way, you will come across unique stone churches including the Madonna of the Three Gates and the Rock Crypt of San Falcione.
