Stop searching for things to do in Medellín and book this wonderful tour. It was my first time in a coffee plantation and I LOVE IT. The owners treated us like we had known them for years, and they felt like instant friends: Celene and her husband were also sooo very knowledgeable. I felt like I have known Celene all my life. This is an organic farm it was so fascinating to see how you can use nature in your favor. You feel like you are visiting a finca that is both close to the city but also off the beaten tourist track. I think we learned everything that is humanly possible about coffee: its history and production. They explained every detail and I loved every minute. Our guide Sergio was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and beyond friendly. The horseback riding part of the tour was also an incredible experience: the horses take you up a small road up the mountain we trotted along and had an amazing time, even went over the highway. As you keep going up the mountain eventually you are riding through lots of greenery and we ended up at a beautiful waterfall. The horses were friendly and gentle. My son loved his horse and told me: we have to do this again. I would highly recommend this trip, over and over again.
