About this activity

We will pick you up in a private vehicle at El Parque del Poblado in Medellin to begin our 90 minutes journey to Guatape´s Marina, make sure you enjoy the spectacular landscapes.

At the marina we will board a private motor boat and sail around the iconic sites of the lake like La Piedra del Peñol, the cross of the flooded town church and Pablo Escobar's bombed lake mansion where we will take a private tour around the property (included in the fee).

We will have lunch at a beautiful lake villa where you can enjoy the sights and the landscape. After lunch, we will sail to Guatape to visit the iconic sites of the town like the central park, traditional colored streets and hand decorated houses, you will enjoy as well the best coffee cup you've ever had.

Finally we will visit Peñol's Rock, and you will get to climb it all the way to the top to enjoy the landscape and take amazing pictures (included in the fee).

We will departure from the rock back to Medellín to arrive to El Parque del Poblado approximately at 6:00 pm. *

Simply put, this is not only the best tour I've ever done, it is absolutely one of the best things I have ever done in my whole life. Andres is a fantastic tour guide as well as an excellent human being who treats you kindly and shows you a world you've never seen. From drinking excellent coffee, to seeing a sunken town, to eating sandwiches at a lake house, wandering a beautifully painted town, sampling Colombian chocolates, from getting to check out the best view in the world It really is, to my personal favorite, exploring the grounds and ruins of Pablo Escobar's destroyed mansion and much more and It all comes together to create a day you will never forget. So if you are coming to Colombia this is without a doubt the number one best thing you can do, you won't regret it.

First of all, THANK YOU ANDRES! Your tour was fantastic! Every aspect of this experience was great. My boyfriend Jordan and I had an amazing time. Andres was courteous, kind, and so much fun to spend the day with. The boat ride was relaxing and refreshing. The time we spent at the lake house eating fruit, lunch, and relaxing made for a perfect conclusion to the day out on the lake. And of course, the hike was a great way to cap everything off. I would recommend this tour to anyone that is visiting Medellin!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia! It was an amazing day, we loved touring the lake by boat and visiting Esobar's bombed mansion. We stopped for lunch at our guide's beautiful lake home and had a fun fruit tasting and great meal prepared right there on his grill. The town of Guatape is super charming, our guide shared some interesting background on the history of the town and the colorful houses. We ended the day climbing up El Peñol for some of the best views I've ever seen. Great to go up at this time of day when the sun was a little lower and the viewing deck less crowded. Big thanks to Andres for planning such a thoughtful tour, from snacks to hidden views!!
