Your Guatape tour starts off with one of the most popular things to do in the area which is to climb the 703 steps of the huge monolith rock near the town, which offers fantastic views of the area. At the top don't miss the chance for a stellar selfie opportunity.

Our boat tour leaves from the jetty in the centre of the town, which will take you on a scenic tour of the reservoir where you will be able to ruins of what was Escobar’s lake house “La Manuela”, this mansion was bombed by the group “los pepes” in 1993. You will also see the mansions of local celebrities like James Rodriguez, Amparo Grisales and others. The boat tour will also give you a glimpse of where the old town used to be before it was flooded.

This musem was built over 200 years ago and was home to a local doctor named Demetrio Galeano Jácome. This museum is unique because it is the only construction left standing from the previous location of the urban area of the municipality of El Peñol.
