First Stop: Exotic Fruit Tasting

Medellin Day Trips has always been characterized by offering more complete tours with fair prices and our Rock Climb The Guatape Rock Tour is not the exception.

Therefore, to make your experience more enjoyable our first stop is a fruit tasting.

In this brief but substantial stop we provide you different exotic fruits you probably didn’t even know exist, with intense sour or sweet flavors.

Colombia is the most diverse country per square meter in the world, that´s why we decided to include a fruit tasting in this tour!!

We will go to a non-touristy fruit market (farmers´ market) to try different exotic fruits, some of them sour some of them sweet, let´s give them a chance!!

Some of the fruits you will try are Pitaya, Granadilla, Tree Tomato, Lulo, Gulupa, Apple-Guava, Ochuva, Higo, how many of these do you know already?

Stop At: Piedra Del Penol, Highway El Penol - Guatape, Guatape Colombia

Second Stop: Rock Climb The Guatape Rock

We arrive into a place where we´ll leave our comfortable car and start a beautiful walking for around 20 minutes to get to the base of the rock.

Once we get to the rock we start the training to start climbing the rock.

Afterwards we explain you in a very detailed way in English how the rock climbing equipment should be used.

We start our physical warming and and then we are ready to get this done!!

In our company we have 4 different rock climbing routes in the rock that we will do, all of them are 25 meters (82 feet) each.

Once you climb the rock in all or any of those different routes you have a wonderful view from the lake and a nice breeze that rewards all your effort.

After the climbing there is a nice complementary activity doing a 30 meters (98 feet) rappel from the rock in a safe but extremely fun way.

The whole climbing and rappel activity takes around 2.5 or 3 hours and when you are finished we´ll head to our next destination: the most beautiful town in Colombia.

Third Stop: The Guatape Town

Our next destination is Guatape, one of the most colorful and picturesque towns in Colombia.

At this town we take a fully narrated walking tour through the town´s landmarks: church, main square, remembrance street, Zocalos Square and more.

After we finish our visit in this beautiful Guatape town we head back in our comfortable private car.

This is a very complete tour full of good memories, climbing adventure and insights on the culture of this region that will leave you very satisfied.
