As we enter Merida, we first visit the centro historico district. Here, you'll find various colonial residences and structures that line the streets; these buildings lie in different states of disrepair and provide a glimpse at the history of the area, which has seen its share of revolts.

Some of the major sites you'll visit include the Cathedral de San IIdefonso, Montejo's House and the Government Palace.
